Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES)
MEES regulations make it unlawful for landlords to let or renew tenancies for properties with an EPC rating below E, unless an exemption applies. This applies to domestic and non-domestic private rented properties in England and Wales.

Introduced under the Energy Efficiency (Private Rented Property) (England and Wales) Regulations 2015.

Domestic landlords must not let properties with an EPC rating of F or G.

Non-domestic properties also fall under similar restrictions.
